A PHOTOGRAPHIC project by Rick Senley, “A Year in Lockdown”, celebrates Guiting Power, a Cotswold village in Gloucestershire, and its people.

The project originated in a photographic project of the last day of work of the village trader, when she was retiring at the age of 100.

Mr Senley then began making weekly grocery deliveries to isolated residents who were protecting their homes during the first lockdown, and decided to expand the project to as many villagers as he had agreed to be photographed. He hopes to collect two photo books, one from villagers and one illustrating the changes of seasons over the past 12 months in and around the village.

Proceeds from book sales are to be donated to St Michael and All Angels’ rooftop fund, Guiting Power. An exhibition in the church is expected to take place when the restrictions are lifted; date to be confirmed.
