PARIS – The Paris Public Library is organizing its first used book sale of the year on Saturday July 31 from 8:30 am to noon. The sale will take place in the aisle between the Paris Public Library and the Paris City Hall. In the event of inclement weather, the sale will take place inside the nearby Deering Memorial Community Center. The sale will feature over a dozen tables of used books, all in good to excellent condition, for all ages and interests. The proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase books for the library’s children’s collection.
The library is located at 37 place du Marché in the south of Paris, just on routes 26 and 117. Another sale will be held at the same location and at the same times on August 28 where a whole new selection of books will be offered. Due to the generous amount of auction contributions over the past year, the library currently has sufficient inventory for these and several other auctions, which will likely take place in the fall.
