The comics feature the last women appointed to the United States Supreme Court

United States Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett is the latest to join the TidalWave Comics pantheon. female strength series, followed by the last appointed to the bench, Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Barrett’s story, 50, begins with her US Senate confirmation hearing in 2020 before returning to her childhood in New Orleans. The 24 pages detail Barrett’s Catholic upbringing, his years teaching at the University of Notre Dame Law School, and his time as a lawyer for the late United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Barrett was appointed to the court by former Republican President Donald Trump.

The Shining, released on Tuesday, also depicts Barrett’s family life.

Jackson, 51, will be featured in a TidalWave comic in the fall. In April, the Senate voted to confirm Jackson as the first black woman to serve on the Supreme Court, nominated by President Joe Biden to replace incumbent Justice Stephen Breyer. Jackson is due to join the court following Breyer’s official departure when the court’s current term ends in the coming weeks.

The “Female Force” series shines a light on strong, independent women in modern politics. The company’s titles also include current Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic member of the court, and the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
