San Angelo’s best little book sale returns, here’s what you need to know

SAN ANGELO – San Angelo readers looking for ways to restock their shelves, or perhaps free up shelf space, have an event filled with opportunities.

The Best Small Book Sale in Texas returns in October and raises money for the Concho Valley Adult Literacy Council. People are encouraged to donate books before the event.

Past sales have showcased a mix of literary genres that San Angelo residents can add to their “must read” pile. They include children’s stories, as well as adult fiction, non-fiction, and cookbooks.

The preview night for this event will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 21 at the Concho Valley Transit Center, 510 N Chadbourne Street, giving guests their first chance to peruse the books and there there will be refreshments.

There is an entrance fee of $ 5. Anyone wishing to donate or volunteer can call the board at 325-657-0013.

The rest of the event is free. Here is the schedule:

9 am-6pm Friday October 22.

9 am-6pm Saturday 23 October.

1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 24.

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, October 25.

The last day will have free books and donations will be accepted.
