JAMMU, 16th October: Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti (RBPS) organized a multilingual Kavi Goshthi program here today at KL Saigal Hall, Writers Club, in which eminent poets and female poets from Hindi, Dogri, Urdu and Punjabi languages ​​recited their poems.
The program began with Prof. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, RBPS Jammu Secretary, giving a detailed account of Samiti’s ongoing activities.
He said that the promotion of Rashtra Bhasha Hindi is our duty, but regional languages ​​should also be duly recognized and for the same reason their organization quite often organizes multilingual programs.
He assured that the organization will continue to organize literary encounters, thus providing platforms for budding talents in the future as well.
Pritpal Singh Betab, a prominent Urdu poet while presiding over the ceremony, said that the multilingual Kavi Goshthis provide participants as well as literature lovers with an opportunity to enjoy poetry written in different languages.
Professor Raj Kumar, a well-known Hindi writer who was guest of honor on the occasion and Dr Arvinder Singh Aman, Additional Secretary of J&K Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages ​​also took the speak on occasion.
Poets and poetesses who participated in Kavi Goshthi included Krishan Sharma, Sanjeev Bhasin, Swami Antar Neerav, Uma Sharma, Sudhir Mahajan, Dr. Aruna Sharma, Harjeet Singh Uppal, Suman Pal, Kalpana Mahajan, Jang Verman, Rakesh Abrol, Jitender Pal Singh. , Dr. Javid Rahi, Neelam Verma and Kiran Deep Singh.
The debates were led by Prof. Sanjay Singh Samyal and the vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Bharat Bhushan Sharma.
The program brought together a host of writers and lovers of literature.
