Michigan Tech Book Sale Volunteers | News, Sports, Jobs

For the editor:

On Friday, April 1, the Friends of Michigan Tech Library held their annual book sale and raised $3,575 in funds for the library. The annual sale would not be possible without the help of dozens of volunteers, including those from the Society of Intellectual Sisters, Tau Beta Pi Honor Society, Delta Zeta, Phi Kappa Tau, Delta Phi Epsilon, USG, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Sigma Tau Gamma, and the Society of African American Men.

The Friends extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Tech’s Memorial Union Building and the staff of the Van Pelt and Opie Library, who provided essential assistance in receiving, storing and moving the books. We also thank all the bibliophiles who came to buy books.

The Friends sale supports the community the Michigan Tech Library serves through a variety of programs, including the popular book collection, Archives travel grants, Library summer interns, loaner computers and other technology. , and many other projects.

We have planned the 2023 sale: mark your calendar for March 31, 2023 and join us for this festive and fun event. Sincerely
