There’s a duplicate of the Top Poets list at Cellar Bards next week.
Kathy Miles and Rosalind Hudis, two award-winning writers from Ceredigion, will share guest spots at Cardigan’s only regular spoken word event on Friday July 8th.
Doors open at 7.30pm at Cellar Bar, Quay Street, Cardigan, SA43 1HU. Admission is £3. People can register at the door for open mic slots.
Rosalind is a former editor of the literary journal The Lampeter Review.
His poetry has won numerous awards, including the National Poetry Competition.
Her most recent publication is Restorations (Seren 2021) which was a Poetry Book Society Spring Pick.
She has published a pamphlet with Rack Press, Terra Ignota (2013) and a comprehensive collection, Tilt, with Cinnamon Press (2014), whose poetry was highly commended in the 2015 Forward Prizes for Poetry.
She gives writing workshops at events and festivals, does private mentoring and also teaches in higher education.
Kathy, who lives near Aberaeron, has seen her work published widely in magazines and anthologies, and her fourth comprehensive collection of poetry, Bone House, was published by Indigo Dreams in 2020.
Kathy is a past winner of the Bridport Prize, as well as the Welsh Poetry and Wells Literature Festival competitions and the Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Competition 2022.
She holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and is a regular book reviewer and workshop facilitator.
