April 23 – Poetry Workshop at Ferndale Library

April is poetry month. So there’s no better time to explore your poetic side! Sign up for our free workshop led by poet/teacher Joy Gaines-Friedler.

It will be a hybrid of in-person and virtual attendees, hosted at the library on Saturday, April 23 at 2 p.m.
Let us know how you prefer to attend; while Joy will be leading a class inside the library here, our zoom camera has panning capabilities to make you feel as if you were with us!

All levels of experience are welcome in this workshop. This is an ideal course for anyone looking for inspiration (when it comes to the art of poetry).

Supplies will be provided. Join us for writing exercises that will show us the power of language and how it informs the meaning of a poem.

Saturday April 23, 2022 – 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Ferndale District Library

Nominated multiple times for Pushcart, Joy Gaines-Friedler’s work has won numerous awards and is published in over 100 literary magazines. She previously taught at Wayne State University & Springfed Arts.
